Hi all!

You might notice that I re-uploaded the current Novetus releases as .7z files. This is due to an ongoing issue in Windows 11 where users weren’t able to launch Novetus due to a “The operation was canceled by the user” error, potentially caused by the compressed file extractor.

Due to this move, you will now need to use 7zip to extract Novetus, and it will no longer work with the itch.io app. Future releases of Novetus will use the 7z file format to prevent this issue from happening again.

UPDATE: it appears that the 7z file format doesn’t seem to fix the issue, so this change has been reverted and I plan to find a better solution. For the time being, please follow the workaround here: https://bitl.itch.io/novetus/devlog/1001657/the-operation-was-canceled-by-the-user-workaround
