[LEGACY] Half-Life 2 Beta Deathmatch

Released in 2012 and last updated in 2014 with Source SDK 2013, Half Life 2 Beta Deathmatch was the first Half-Life 2 mod release made by Bitl.

"Half Life 2 Beta Deathmatch takes the excitement of Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, but with all new weapons and useful multiplayer and development features."

This newly released itch.io version includes an easy to use installer that allows users to install the 2012 or 2014 versions of the mod on the fly.

THIS MOD IS NO LONGER BEING DEVELOPED. THIS IS AN ARCHIVAL RELEASE.

2012 runs on the Source SDK Base 2007, which requires ownership of any Valve Source Engine title prior to Left 4 Dead 1. You must install the Source SDK Base 2007 on Steam to play the original 2012 version.

2014 runs on an older version of Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer. To play this version, switch to the "previous2021" beta on Steam, as the newest Source SDK 2013 multiplayer version will crash the game on launch.
