I wanted to post a statement regarding the itch.io forums. While the forums have been fundamental in Novetus development, more attention has been (clearly) focused on the Discord server. In addition, the tools of the itch.io forums have been somewhat lackluster, and I wanted to consider expanding to my own platform.

Since the announcement of Discord’s age assurance policies, I have been hard at work on a forum that will be used to merge both the environments of the Discord and itch.io forums together. They are the Bitl Development Studio Forums, which have recently been released in an open beta state. This forum represents all of my projects, not just Novetus.

The aim for the forums is to be a replacement for both the Discord and the itch.io forums. It also has much improved moderation tools that make moderating them way nicer. I also plan on moderating them much more heavily, as they also serve as a replacement for the Discord as well.

At the present moment, I am asking that itch.io forum users migrate to the new platform, and I plan on closing the itch.io forums down within a month. I don’t mind if people make archive copies of the forums during this timeframe. Itch.io doesn’t delete posts made on the forums, so if there’s issues with the migration to the new forums, the itch.io forums can be easily recovered if I switch away from them.
